About: I started skateboarding when I was 6 years old because one of my friends had a skateboard and was instantly hooked. I began going to the local indoor park called Skatebarn West where I met friends that helped expose me to the competitive side of the sport. Thanks to them, I began travelling around the country to compete in many of the world cup skateboarding events as an amateur. When practicing for a Vans contest when I was 16, I took a bad fall and sustained a knee injury that took years to recover from. During this time, I focused more on school and ended up attending the University of Washington where I received a master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering. These days I still compete in more fun jam style events and enjoy the sport for what it is by going on road trips and skating with friends. When I’m not skateboarding, you can usually find me riding dirt bikes in the woods, surfing, or hiking enjoying the nature that the northwest has to offer.
